Esplanade des Finances à Charleroi
The work is planted in the middle of Charleroi with its height of 23 metres, its diameter of 3.19 metres and its 70 tons, and with its vertical support: the spine.
Rich with the traces of symbols of the tool, the memory, the history which I share with my people and with those who come from the East, with its 11 pages written in the blood of rust, with neither conflicts nor search for power, with neither revolts nor cries of anguish.
I have created this column as well as its ground-support of the size of factory chimneys that possess vertiginous wells in which I engage, where life takes us on the most profound of voyages.
